Stained Glass Kachina - Great Horned Owl

The Great Horned Owl Kachina, Mongwa, can be seen watching over the badly behaved clowns in a regular Kachina Dance or in Mixed Kachina Dance.  He also takes part in the Water Ceremony and the Bean Dance.

The Great Horned Owl Kachina is also a hunter with prayers for abundant wild game.  He wears a white mask with owl wing ears and a beak. He wears buckskin over his back, a kilt, a sash, and fox skin.  He carries a hunter's bow and a yucca whip to punish the wayward clowns..

This wonderful stained glass kachina makes a bold statement in any home or office.
